The 3-Par Rule, Explained
“Par” is one full set of linen per bed. The 3-par standard keeps one set on the bed, one in the laundry cycle, and one in reserve — so housekeeping never runs short. Properties with same-day laundry can run leaner (2-par); high-turnover or remote properties often stock 4-par. Towels follow the same logic, multiplied by towels per guest.
